YEAR 23
November 2023 Reviews Update
8 November 2023
On November 8, Google started rolling out the 'November 2023 Reviews Update', which will change Google's way of handling review-based content. However, it will not include third-party reviews like customer reviews on products and service pages. The November 2023 Google Reviews Update will ensure a page-wise assessment of blogs, articles, and other content created on the basis of analysis and opinions. That will change rankings and traffic volume of web pages offering review-based content..
- YEAR 23
November 2023 Core Update
2 November 2023
On November 2, Google started rolling out the 'November 2023 Core Update', which will take a few weeks to complete. It is a rare event for Google to release two major core updates in such a quick succession. Google has several core systems that form its ranking algorithm. The November 2023 core update targets the improvement of a different core system than last month's core update, as confirmed by Google. However, this core update also typically targets ranking the most relevant and high-quality web pages on their search results.
- YEAR 23
October 2023 Core Update
5 October 2023
On October 5, Google started rolling out the 'October 2023 Core Update', which took two weeks to finish and was completed on October 19. The core update targets prioritizing informative, trustworthy, and authoritative content over low-grade content to ensure an enhanced user experience. The core update will cause significant changes in the website's rankings like previous core updates.
- YEAR 23
October 2023 Spam Update
4 October 2023
On October 4, Google started rolling out the ‘October 2023 Spam Update’, which was completed on October 20. Google initiated the spam update based on complaints received by their community members regarding spam in search results while searching in their native languages like Turkish, Chinese, Indonesian, Hindi, Vietnamese, and other languages. The October 2023 Google spam update targets to further enhance its spam detection systems and remove thin and misleading spammy content from search results to provide a better user experience.
